PMG - The BURDEN Project Management Group

The PMG assists the Coordinator in decisions concerning achievements of the project and overall quality in order to:

  • monitor the work towards internal and external deliverables
  • seek consistency in the progress of the project towards milestones
  • ensure adherence of events to the work plan
  • adapt planning to unforeseen events in the work plan
  • continuously review and assess project achievements
  • deal with contractual matters
  • ensure the overall quality of the outputs of activities
  • control the project development with respect to the schedule of deliverables
  • promote complementary medical, scientific and technological activities

EAB - The BURDEN Expert Advisory Board

The EAB will meet on the occasion of the scheduled workshops and Annual Plenary BURDEN Meetings. The members of the EAB will provide scientific excellence and added value to these meetings on account of their expertise in the field of antimicrobial therapy, resistance and pharmacoeconomics:

The main functions of the EAB are as follows:

  • Overseeing the progress of the project and proposing improvements in organisation and scientific content
  • Ensuring the quality of the reports generated by the project
  • Recommending ways in which the results and analyses should be disseminated to appropriate organisations in the participating countries and advising the PMG on the best ways to involve national bodies
  • Facilitating links with other European projects (EARSS, ESAC, IPSE) and relevant Professional Societies (ESCMID) and avoiding duplication and overlap
  • Preparing future developments of the project
